As part of our ongoing commitment to work with farmers and the wider agricultural community and to provide practical and impartial crop management advice, we would like to welcome you to our second Crop Management Knowledge Hub – this time with a specific focus on managing and controlling grassweeds and slugs in winter cereals and oilseed rape.
The Seedbeds, Slugs and Stewardship Hub follows on from our successful Septoria Management Hub which has been exceptionally well received by arable farmers and agronomists across the UK.
The purpose of the new hub will be to provide practical advice covering a range of grassweed management topics:
- Resistance management
- Weed mapping
- Cultivation techniques
- Soil health
- The importance of pre-emergence treatments
- Stacking and sequencing in the herbicide programme.
As well as focusing on the ever-present and increasingly important challenges associated with controlling black-grass, we’ll also look at how best to manage a range of other, equally burdensome weeds.
In addition, we will focus on how to control slug populations, taking an integrated management approach incorporating various cultural methods as well as looking at when and how to get the most from slug pellets.
One BASIS point awarded for subscribing to our new hub.
You’ll receive up-to-the-minute seasonal updates as well as regular crop management advice from our in-house herbicide specialists
Updates will be provided on a regular basis to provide timely reminders and advice throughout the summer cultivation and drilling period and into the autumn herbicide spraying window.
Registration is free for all those who pre-register before the event.
